PROGRESS REPORT: Major Rewrite/Early Release
Alright, I know many of you will be a little bit confused by the title. So let me explain.
I realized that the last major scene on Friday was a bust. I wrote myself into a corner, and the major challenge for these last 17 days since the last devlog was figuring out how to salvage it. Ultimately, after talking to a couple of my consultants (bless them, really), I decided to scrap the scene and replace it with a much more believable and true-to-form scene.
Here's the problem.
This new scene needs planning, writing, shooting, scoring, and bugtesting. I COULD push myself and try to whip a full scene out of my ass and get it done within a couple of days, but I'm also fairly certain that the quality of the scene would be far lower than if I wasn't rushing to get the build out.
That brings us to another issue.
Y'all have been waiting a while for the next build, and it's time to release new content. EVERYTHING before this scene is COMPLETELY done, and there are some HUGE story bits. This scene I'm about to rewrite basically gives us the excuse to move into the next story arc, and there are so many big story bits in this update so far that I could easily ship this update without this scene and Friday's Evening scene. So, I could ship you new content, and save this rewritten scene for the Saturday Sunday update.
I honestly think this is the best thing to do, that way y'all get a bunch of new content to go through. All I have to do is finish an H-scene and add some text conversations sprinkled throughout Thursday and Friday, and you'll have 2 more ingame days to play. It'll make the Saturday Sunday update heavier on content as well. So I'm gonna work on finishing the H-scene and text conversations over the next couple of days and polish/flesh things, and then start the release schedule! Get ready for the newest build of WCA!

do i need to update this or completely uninstall - reinstall this?
Just update. Should work for most content releases. If it doesn't, lemme know or pop into the Discord and we'll help ya out.
YO! Nice since I'm kinda want to Restart the whole thing Cuz I totally about the plot (I apologize for that).
but Hey, can't say no to a rewrite and since the Next build is already done we don't need to wait for it no more. Sides, if it's connected to the next arc then we can wait.
P.S. nothing is more satisfying than an understanding story/plot.
Then you'll probably want to wait until maybe the Saturday Sunday update, because we're changing our _met variables from boolean to integer, and that's likely gonna invalidate a lot of save files. This is to work better with our new Character Book feature that should be released in the Saturday/Sunday update.
The scene in question that's being rewritten is a scene that would occur on the Friday you haven't played yet, so don't worry, nothing you've seen so far is getting redone.

I would suggest that you restart the game anyway. Vic7 is putting a lot of effort into making this and it would be a shame if you miss updated content 😉 and we nag him all the time with ideas, it's actually evil at some point 😂😈
