[PROGRESS REPORT] So I Got The Ick
Christ. These last couple days were absolute hell. I dunno what the hell kind of stomach bug I got, but it ruined me for a few days. I now have empathy for fountains.
Ehem. Anyways, in spite of the stomach bug from hell, we still made fairly significant progress:
This is it. The home stretch. We are SO CLOSE to release. Since we're doing full episodes now, I've added a sort of unspoken final step, and that's a full episode playthrough/final experience bugtest. Once we've got these last couple of scenes in the bag and gotten that done, we'll package this and start the release cycle. I feel FAIRLY confident that we could get this out before Monday, but that's not accounting for Murphy. And 48 hours is a LOT of time for Murphy to mess with shit.
But aren't these updates coming out a little... fast? Last public release was (checks calendar) a week ago. Well, yeah. I wanted to see what it took to get us to a monthly update schedule. Suffice it to say, it was rough. Monthly updates probably aren't realistic or sustainable unless I start getting a lot more help, 'cause I really put myself through the ringer on this one and I'm not eager to repeat that experience. Though we DID prove it can be done. I'm considering bundling both of these kinds of patches into one, so that the patches take a little longer, sure, but they'd come with a full Main Story episode PLUS a batch of Side Scenes. I've been getting the feeling lately that AVN enjoyers by and large prefer larger updates, even if they take longer. My only worry is that taking too long tends to make people start dropping support on SubscribeStar and Patreon, and they don't always come back when a new update drops. Still, the support has been amazing lately, and we're close to really breaking the plateau we've been on for the last year or two. If this can become sustainable for us, that's less time at IRL jobs and more time working on various projects such as WCA, Goblin Roommates, and maybe even Necro's project, Red Velvet.
Anyways, enough of my blabbing. I'm still not 100% from the absolute hell I went through with this stomach bug, so I'mma go take a nap. Here's a nice little preview for everyone who's been asking for Kageshini since she first popped up in your bathroom mirror.

Don't really know if I would be able to help but I do have a higher end PC with a 7800x3d and 4090 with a AI Converter/Upscaler Project so I can upscale my videos and what not to 4k so it looks good on my monitor and it does run almost 24/7 so if all it needs is to be run through something that can leverage the hardware I'm definatley down for helping out that way.
Hey I appreciate it but what I tend to need the most help with is the posing and shooting stage. I have a pretty distinct render style I have to teach people that differentiates us from most other AVNs that either use sprites or reuse the same angles over and over again.
I'd be open to chatting over Discord about it, but I keep bringing on new people and they keep either not being able to emulate my style or not being able to do scenes I need within the time period I need them, and I keep ending up doing them myself. Honestly waiting 2+ months isnt that big of a deal especially for the quality you and your team put out. Yall health is the most important thing cause a man like Oid can wait ya hear. No ting Wanna badda mi mash up ya brakes and hol a medz ya hear?

Oid is easily my favorite character especially after the interrogation scene. Idk how yall cooked him up but it's golden.
So Oid is the brainchild of my buddy DioGinrochi (Oid is just Dio backwards) and was inspired by the T-Dot Goon Scrap DVD videos on YouTube. Dio suggested making an opposite version of himself that spoke only in Toronto slang and I was all for it lol
He's also a streamer, and the artist behind Goat Meat Mafia (the song that plays during the Eshtel video call)
Take your time man no ones going any were. Take care of yourself if you can't do monthly do bimonthly or even take 2 month man just make sure your heath and well being are a priority.
Yeah, after this release, I'm thinking once every 2 months might be the sweet spot, but I wanna see the data first. I appreciate the concern :)
