[PROGRESS REPORT] Nitty Gritty Behind the Scenes Stuff
Hello, all!
Alright, so I had this devlog written on my laptop all nice and neat like, and I forgot to PUBLISH the damn thing. So here we go again.
First, life stuff. Remember how my landlords are selling this place out from under me and moving to England? Well, I got together with my sis, her spouse, and two good friends of ours, and we all went in on a 6 bedroom house for rent. And we GOT IT. So most of May has been focused on moving all my stuff over there, slowly but surely. The one issue is there's no internet over there right now. We're workin' on that.
Second. WCA Season 1 stuff. I may have mentioned before, but my last update to Season 1 won't add any new content. I'm planning a SFW mode that allows you to skip the H-Scenes and nudity so you can play it on Twitch and YouTube without violating TOS. I'm hoping this will get the game more exposure.
Third, WCA Season 2 stuff. The majority of the work lately has been nitty gritty under the hood stuff. I now have the new title screen working and the entire first episode is playable. Episode 2 is being planned and written as we speak, in between my shifts at work and having to move my stuff to the new place.
Lastly, I've been trying out a bunch of writers who want to help with the story, and I've finally chosen one. As he's working as a contractor right now, I won't reveal his username, but suffice it to say he picks up on my writing style and each character's dialogue style and attitude extremely quickly, and the differences in our writing styles is minimal. VERY good fit for this project. If ever he opts to learn scene posing and shooting, he may become an official part of the team, and y'all will get to meet him. For now, he has helped out with a lot of the girls' side stories, which I hope you enjoy.
That's all! All in all, things have been busy, but good. Progress is slow but steady. I'm still hoping to have a 2 Episode demo for Patrons/Supporters sometime in June, and a 3 Episode Release sometime after I've had a chance to apply that feedback.

you don't have to split the project, someone figured out how to get archives to work on apk files. I believe it was user "will747" on f95.
Was going to ask a question but outlining the information I had to frame the question gave me at least one answer that fit all the criteria. So I'll keep my theory to myself, wait and see. I'm hoping though that there is an actual arc closure to act 1, there was one or two spots where it would have been possible already but where it sits right now isn't one in my opinion...
Anyway fun game, enjoying it so far so can't wait to see the progress. Really glad the project didn't die out as too many do
It's been rocky, but I've been hanging on by the skin of my teeth. I love this series too much for it to be abandoned.
As for getting archives to work, I'm going to look up this "will747" and see if I can't get some help with this. I appreciate it so much, thank you.
And yes, there were supposed to be 2 more days in the Janitor Arc, but I ran out of space. People on Android couldn't install the game, so I had to back it off until it was under 2GB.

Glad to hear the good news about having a new place, move and all the rest, so massive snoopy happy dance going on for ya! Finances are in a better space for me, so looking to get back to being a supporter once June starts up! Here's to the future of WCA! Oh, and I joined back into the Discord under the new name of Scott Wulf as my old account got turfed... but I digress...
