[BUGFIX INCOMING] Some Adjustments to the Rework
Wow, there has been a LOT of helpful feedback regarding this Season 1 rework. I've made a bunch of changes, and there are still some to do.
The main piece of feedback I'm hearing is that even though introducing the Chiara and Eshtel choice was a good thing, the pacing was wrong and it just felt way too early in the story. So I'm moving that to Eshtel's side story file that you'll get access to in Season 2. For now, you'll receive the bracelet from Chiara, and decide what to do with it later.
There were a bunch of bugfixes (were because I have already fixed them), some typos, and a weird bit of missed conditional dialogue surrounding the morning after Gillie's cathedral scene. I'mma revisit that and also set about moving all the conditional dialogue with Chiara about Eshtel, since it won't be needed till later.
1.2.2.2 should be ready for y'all within a day or so. We'll see how that feels and tweak from there. Once this is stable and there are no more issues, I'm turning my attention to the Android version.
I've also changed the wording of this project a bit. I used to call it a game. But I think that gives the wrong impression. Rather than having to keep explaining that this isn't your bread and butter porn game, I'm more referring to it as a story that includes sexual content. So, if people are looking for a quick fap game with a lot of easy sex scenes, they'll know this story isn't for them.

Will start this for a few hours after I'm done with something (Ya goddamn Right to SQUARE 1 as per update). I'll share my reviews later wish me luck. the Chiara x Eshtel would be a good move since, having this side story on the early stages won't affect anything but... It progressed too fast, I mean sure Eshtel's got a looooong lifespan but they didn't even know a thing about each other except the fact that Chiara has a thing for her. hoping you'll have some content about their side story with getting to know each other (with or without MC's involvement.)
Anyways, Your Content's always a HUGE W for me hoping you make more of these after you finish WCA.
Lemme get 1.2.2.2 out with the fixes and you can enjoy to your heart's content. And yes, I have some ideas for some smaller, less ambitious games lol. I bit off a lot with a 49 character game and I'm not doing that again.
Nice very Nice, but I'll retract my Previous statement, it doesn't really matter where you put Chiara X Eshtel since it blends well with the Current Flow (and Doesn't affect the Main Content) but real LOVED that you gave us Options and I hope there's more Content for them at later Updates.
Quick thought - I'm playing through again, and just reached the part where MC accompanies Druthari to the dorms for the first time. In that scene, she is introduced to the concept of martial arts, forms, and sparring.
Are you planning on following on that idea? If so, would there possibly be some interaction with Jade? I mean, since Jade is female, Druthari might be able to concentrate more...
That was the initial plan. Though I haven't decided whether this takes place in main story or in someone's side story.
Will the rearranging of scenes break saves?
I just got finished playing through everything again.
Side note: "1.0" usually implies a finished game. It may cause a bit of confusion for some.
Well it was meant to indicate the first season was completely finished. But we discovered some issues, and it ended up needing more work. Answer is no, I don't THINK any saves should break, as there are no new variables being introduced that aren't set in your save. One just got moved to the side story file.
I think the easiest "fix" would be to elaborate a little bit on how the version numbers work. (Maybe in that first little paragraph at the top of the game's main page?)
I haven't seen any confusion yet for this game about it, but I have seen it a couple of times for other games that did something similar with their version numbers.
Oh shit. That's not a bad idea. My thought process is thus:
1.2.2.2
First digit (1) = the last season that I consider fully complete
Second digit (2) = the last episode that I consider fully complete in the new season
Third digit (2) = the approximate progress (main + side content) toward the finishing of the next episode
Last digit/two digits (2/20) = the most recent bugfix version
Makes sense to alter your definition of the game/story. I've always felt it is a visual novel first, porn second situation.
That's precisely what I meant to portray. Thankfully there have been enough that were pleasantly surprised, but there have also been enough complainers that honestly it's been discouraging. So I figure weed out the fapseekers and lure in those who want a story.
